An electric streetcar derailed in Lisbon on Wednesday, killing at least 15 people and injuring 18 others. Portuguese television showed the yellow-and-white tram lying on its side along a narrow hill road. The tram’s roof and sides appeared partially crushed as dozens of emergency workers rushed to the scene. Local media reported the crash happened around 6 pm during evening rush hour. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the accident.
