Alphabet Surpasses $3 Trillion Following Court Victory

Investors poured into Alphabet after a US judge blocked a forced sale of its Chrome browser. The ruling protected Google’s core operations and boosted confidence in the company. Shares climbed over 4% in European trading Monday, extending a more than 30% gain since January. Alphabet now joins the elite $3 trillion club alongside Nvidia, Microsoft, and Apple. Nvidia leads at $4.2 trillion (€3.57tr), Microsoft follows at $3.8 trillion (€3.23tr), and Apple sits at $3.5 trillion (€3tr).

Court Decision Secures Google’s Core Businesses

The Department of Justice sought a forced sale of Chrome and possibly Android, citing competition concerns. A federal judge ruled Alphabet could retain both but must share data with rivals. Google’s search division generates more than half of the company’s revenue, making the ruling critical. Analysts praised the decision as a major win, stabilizing Alphabet’s business model and reassuring investors about long-term growth.

Strong AI Demand Drives Revenue Growth

Alphabet’s second-quarter earnings revealed a 15% revenue increase, surpassing expectations. Surging demand for artificial intelligence products lifted both cloud and advertising divisions. Analysts noted AI adoption strengthened the company’s market position and long-term profitability. The combination of legal clarity and strong financial results reinforced investor confidence. Alphabet now stands as one of the world’s most resilient and valuable technology companies.
